I weighed myself this week and I GAINED 1.2 pounds (0.54 kilograms). I have lost a total of 53.2 pounds (24.13 kilograms) in 24 weeks. When a gain is explainable, it is DEFINITELY EASIER to accept. If you recall, I was not able to work out that much last week, as I had a "blister the size of Long Island!" I also had 3 parties and it was just a rough week..I would hope that I can get this off by next week, although oi am definitely SCARED, because, I am having a Mexican Themes Party at my house on Friday with tons of food and MARGARITAS..if you have any suggestions, I am all ears!
I am very upset this morning and I am a little amazed that this type of gain is possible with the size stomach that I have...Anyway, I have been preparing myself for this for a few days now....I really hope to GOD that I have a great week this week and get back on the horse! Anyway thanks for reading!

Hey Kel.. I have to say your honesty is really knocking my socks off!!
ReplyDeleteThink about this : it takes an EXTRA 3500 calories to GAIN a pound. So, that said.. it also takes a 3500 calorie deficit to lose a pound. Your blog today states "Anyway, I have been preparing myself for this for a few days now...." If it were a real gain, meaning not water gain.. the few days worth of contemplation of a gain, could have been better spent. Don't get mad at me for saying this... When I was on LA weight loss ... I was told .." never have 2 bad days in a row" So, that said.. The days following your Mexican Fiesta .. and the days prior.. really eat cleanly, even if you cannot exercise as much ... and WALK!! Hit the streets near your house and just go for a walk! I am learning just as you are and will practice what I preach. I promise.
I look forward to next week.. for both of us, when we put into practice what we know!
As far as Mexican? I would have ONE good margarita. Frozen is higher calories I think than a shaken one.. I could be wrong. But have ONE good one. As far as food? THAT is easy!! Steer clear of re fried beans and too many tortillas or chips. If you like cilantro, add it to everything you eat, along with a squeeze of lime.. YUMMY! Non fat greek yogurt is a GREAT alternative to sour cream... even FAT FREE sour cream... better nutrients. Avocados? YUMMY! but limit yourself to a table spoon of guacamole.
Other than all that? Grilled chicken and veggies.. fajitas? excellent!! This is ONE cuisine I can get into and come out without having gone crazy! :)
